Our favourite Supportive Non-profit Organisation – Revive MS

Amid all the hubbub and fuss in the run up to Christmas (only 10 sleeps to go, you know – how’s the shopping going?), I thought it would be nice to take a little time to recognise the great work going on at Revive MS, our favourite non-profit organisation.

Revive MS are a Scottish charity dedicated to the support of everyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). They provide therapy, advice and support, with the aim of trying to help those who suffer from the disease to live full and productive lives. Services cover both body and mind, ranging from physiotherapy, reflexology, chiropody and Pilates through to counselling, speech and language therapy and fatigue management – and many more. Importantly, Revive also work with family, friends and carers to provide training and counselling to help them provide better support too.

The work Revive MS carry out is instrumental to the well-being of hundreds of people throughout Scotland, and offer a number of different ways that you can support them. This includes fun events at various points throughout the year (ever wanted to go bungee jumping, skydiving, or do a zip-wire slide across the clyde? Revive MS has done them all!), and opportunities to sponsor them while you do crazy things like cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, or run in a 10km circle for fun.

If you’d like more information about what they do, check out their website. You can also download a fundraising pack, or take a look at some other ways to help.

On behalf of Mercurytide and everyone here, I’d like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year – see you all in 2017!
