Tamlin, our Managing Director recently presented at ThinkSmart - an event dedicated to helping local convenience retailers to embrace the technological changes of the future.
ThinkSmart is an event organised by Scottish Local Retailer magazine, a publication which provides locally-owned convenience retailers with valuable advice geared towards improving their profitability. Held at the Glasgow Science Centre, ThinkSmart gave visitors the opportunity to listen to the advice of a number of industry leaders. The event's session speakers included presentations from Simon Miles, Coca-Cola Enterprises' Digital Director; Clive Humby, Dunnhumby's Chief Data Scientist and of course, Mercurytide's own Tamlin Roberts.
Tamlin's keynote presentation, 'A Walk through the Store of the (Near) Future' gave ThinkSmart's attendees a unique insight into the technological advances that are fast-approaching and in the case of some early adopters, already being used. By demonstrating the ways that technology and profit intersect, Tamlin provided these convenience retailers a greater understanding of the benefits that technology offers to businesses, and the importance of keeping up with these advances.
