Walkers Shortbread needed a new ecommerce site which reflected the quality of their brand. Their existing site offered an inconsistent user experience and was difficult to navigate, which had a knock-on effect on sales figures. 

How we solved it

We created a site which offered a smooth user experience and reflected the values of the Walkers Shortbread brand - quality and tradition. By helping users to find the products they were searching for, as well as any related products, the new site encouraged visitors to make purchases. 

Walkers categoryMercurytide also created a bespoke back-office system which provided one place for managing orders, stock levels, warehousing, couriers and packaging information. This system requires minimal administration and automatically updtes each department with new information about customer orders.

The Results

Walkers Shortbread have enjoyed an ongoing increase in sales each month, due to the improved shopping experience that their site offers. This also resulted in the site's bounce rate (the number of visitors who entered the site and left immediately) being lowered by 65%. Their new management system also dramatically reduced administration time, which saw a considerable increase in their team's efficiency.
